Keeping it in the family
FARA
Brand awareness campaign
When fashionable charity shop brand FARA came to us with a series of new videos, we helped them create an uplifting social campaign.
What we did
Campaign identity
Video editing
Print and digital assets
Verbal and visual assets
Charity shops have come a long way since their dusty 1980s reputation: today you’re more likely to find designer items and quality vintage pieces. No wonder charity shop supremos FARA wanted to showcase the amazing clothes – and stylish shoppers – in their stores.
They came to us with a series of long-form videos featuring five unique members of the ‘FARA family’. Each one shared their connection to FARA, whether as a wonderful community to shop, work or volunteer with, or donate clothes to. Our job was to turn these mini movies into usable social assets.
We were also tasked with developing an overarching campaign that would tie all the videos together, plus create supportive stills for social and in-store, to encourage even more people to sign up and join the FARA family.
“It has been a pleasure working with Lark on this project and we are so pleased with the assets – you kept them true to the FARA brand, and to the original films, which was no easy feat. Thank you for all your hard work.”
Siân Smith, social media and content manager
The video crops needed to preserve the different personalities and ‘magic’ of each original film. Luckily, the source material was fantastic to work with, so our director Meghna Gupta thoroughly enjoyed the challenge!
Once all the assets had been created, the uplifting ‘We are FARA family’ campaign was ready. And it launched with a bang at a buzzing late-night shopping event/premiere held at FARA’s iconic Islington store.
Impact
‘We are FARA Family’ exceeded all the charity’s expectations. There were over 600 email sign-ups via paid and organic ads on Facebook and Instagram, which was double FARA’s target.
And we’ll have Leeward’s song stuck in our heads for about 20 years…
Thanks to…
Siân and James at FARA for working with us to nail the campaign look and feel, and Scott Wimsett and Bespoke Banter for the beautiful original films.
